Matt Kurtz at the age of 18 years old is already regarded as a seasoned veteran who is now entering into his 4th. season racing “Sprint Cars”. He started racing “BMX” when he was only 5 years old and progressed into “Quarter Midgets” and then “Mini Sprints” and at the age of 15 he started racing “Sprint Cars”. He lives in Jacksonville Beach, Florida and just graduated from Bishop Kenny Catholic High School and will be starting college in the Fall.
This year he along with Chris Henion (Crew Chief) are mainly concentrating on racing with the A.C.S.C. – Rebel Region. They will also be racing with the F.S.C. A., U.S.C.S. and the Top Gun Sprint Car Series. They have been working together for 6 years. They have won Championships in both Quarter Midgets and Sprint Cars and won Rookie of the Year honors in Mini Sprints and Sprint Cars. In their first years in Sprint Cars they won 4 races, 2nd. in Points and Rookie of the Year in the F.S.C.A. and the Track Championship at North Florida Speedway in Lake City, Florida.
Matt’s goals are to advance into the 360 National Series next year including making his first appearance at the 360 Knoxville Nationals. He has his sites set on racing with the World of Outlaws by the time he is 20 and is planning on making racing his career.

F.S.C.S. – 3 Wins 8 WINS THIS YEAR!!!!!
T.G.S.C.S. – 3 Wins
Non-Sanctioned - 1 Win

Chris Henion has been Matt's very talented Crew Chief for six years and makes all the decisions concerning the set ups at the tracks.
